Stephanie Strom, MS, CCC-SLP

Stephanie Strom is a licensed speech-language pathologist with over a decade of experience working with children and families. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology and her Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Northern Arizona University and holds certification through American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, along with Arizona Department of Health licensure.

Her path into speech therapy began while working as a preschool aide, where she saw the impact of one-on-one support on a child’s development. That experience continues to shape her approach today—focused, individualized, and built around helping each child communicate in a way that works for them.

Stephanie has worked in schools, outpatient rehabilitation, and detention facilities, giving her a broad perspective on the challenges families face. As a co-owner of Word Play, she stays actively involved in clinical care and supports her team to ensure families receive thoughtful, consistent service. Outside of work, Stephanie is a mother of three and enjoys hiking, cooking, and painting.
